Redwood Circle is uniquely prepared to ensure a high-quality recruitment process representative of your culture, values, and priorities. Because we are not a traditional search firm, our competitive advantage is our experience in and passion for recruiting, selecting, and hiring senior managers specifically for organizations focused on improving educational opportunity and services for students.
Activate Instruction: VP/Director of School Partnerships
As the Girard Education Foundation launched Activate Instruction, a free online tool that gives K-12 students an enriched, personalized learning experience through playlists created and shared by teachers nationwide, they were seeking a seasoned educator to serve as their first new hire. Executive Director Michele Hansen retained Redwood Circle to identify a senior leader to drive their client services and relationship management with school partners.
"Christina Greenberg, who runs Redwood Circle, is a highly accomplished, ethical professional. She is efficient, knowledgeable and has an amazing personal network in the Bay Area. I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to work with her and plan to use Redwood Circle again in the new year based on my excellent experience this fall. I would recommend her most enthusiastically." —Michele Hansen, Girard Education Foundation
Bullis Charter School: Principal and Assistant Principal
After being led by a single senior administrator, Superintendent Wanny Hersey, for almost a decade, Bullis Charter School hired Redwood Circle to recruit, manage the selection process (including stakeholder engagement and design of onsite activities), and lead the hiring and onboarding of a new Principal and new Assistant Principal. Redwood Circle worked closely with Superintendent Hersey, the board hiring committee, and other parent and teacher representatives to carefully facilitate these two interview and hiring processes.
“I am honored to write a testimonial for the Redwood Circle team and only hope my words will be able to convey what an outstanding job they did for us. Not only did we have a tough role to fill originally, but also we asked them to shift mid-stream and add another position and they managed that thoughtfully and efficiently. They also took so much time to understand our community and our culture as well as were so open to working closely and collaboratively with any and all of our stakeholders. We are so appreciative to the Redwood Circle team for helping us find two fabulous administrators.” —Wanny Hersey, Bullis Charter School
Rogers Family Foundation: Chief Strategy Officer
Entering its second decade as a local education leader, and with the transition of its Senior Program Officer to a new city and organization, Executive Director Brian Rogers and the rest of the Foundation’s board of trustees wanted to find an exemplary, credible leader to guide the Foundation through its next phases of development. They hired Redwood Circle Consulting, which was able to find, recruit, and place Rhonnel Sotelo, formerly COO at another well-known California education funder, to join the Rogers Foundation as its first Chief Strategy Officer.
“Christina and her team at Redwood Circle were a perfect solution for our staffing needs. Since we are such a small team here at the Rogers Family Foundation, it is in our best interests to hire the highest capacity and most experienced staff possible. Christina and her team created a very deep applicant pool that yielded an executive level employee that was a perfect fit. I would highly recommend Redwood Circle to anyone searching for high quality, education focused talent.” —Brian Rogers, Rogers Family Foundation
“I have had the distinct honor of working with a number of outstanding search firms throughout my career. I can definitively say – without any reservation – that the search process led by Redwood Circle Consulting that brought me to the Rogers Family Foundation was the most transparent, professional, and efficient recruitment that I have ever experienced. The exceptional care, thoughtfulness, and personalization brought to the process by Christina Greenberg and her team helped crystalize the quality of the opportunity, but equally as important, demonstrated to me how I fit with the strategic direction of the Rogers Family Foundation.” —Rhonnel Sotelo, Rogers Family Foundation (Placed Candidate)
